Sim Centre Open House 2017: Recap
By Neeti Passi, Manager, Digital Innovation and Simulation
On November 1st, the Simulation team hosted their second annual Open House to provide CAMH staff had an opportunity to meet the newest member of the Simulation team, the SIM MAN ALS mannequin—who has now been renamed Simpson (congrats to our naming contest winners, Karen Ward and Ritu Gupta!)—as well as to explore ways in which simulation can be utilized for departmental training and education. In addition to working with the mannequin, attendees had a chance to learn about the Simulation Centre’s mobile Video Observation System and how simulated patients can be used to help create real world clinical scenarios.
How the CAMH Simulation Centre can support you
We sat down with CAMH and Simulation Centre staff to find out how they are using simulation in education to enhance training and empower staff. Check out our new video!
Here are a few ideas on how you could use the Sim Centre’s services:
- Simulation courses (CAMH staff: Register now in CAMPUS for our next session of Introduction to Developing and Designing Simulation Scenarios course running January 31st, 2018)
- Interprofessional collaboration and training
- Simulated patients and scenarios.
